(Skuzzy flies over an empty stage as crickets chirp. The audience is holding its breath, waiting for the show to begin. Suddenly, a large crash is heard as Julia Cat stumbles onto the stage, dragging Cecil behind her.)
Julia Cat: (mumbles) Stupid... overgrown.. television! *AHEM* Cecil?
Cecil: Non! Je ne veux pas faire ça! Tu n'as pas le droit!
Julia Cat: (whispers) Stage fright.
(Cecil manages to wrestle himself free from Julia Cat's grip and hops, disgruntled, off-stage, muttering about being a waiter, not a talk show host. In exiting, he lets the winner's envelope drift to the ground in his wake. Julia Cat sighs and picks up the envelope.)
Julia Cat: I knew I never should have asked a Frenchman to present. They're so temperamental! At least... artists seem to be. Oh well. At least I didn't have to ask Mike.
Mike (off-screen): HEY!
Julia Cat: New sites are rare and precious jewels in the ReBoot community these days. This year's nominees are all promising sites with great content and a lot of originality. Unfortunately, only one of them can win the award.
Without further ado, the nominees for Best
New Site are:
-Dream in Digital, made by the lovely AvA.
-The Glitch-Bob Estrogen Brigade, catering to Bob groupies everywhere.
-International ReBoot Month, which really speaks for itself.
-ReBoot Master, owned, created, and maintained by ReBootMaster2001.
-ReBootilicious, home of binome and bot silliness.
(Julia tugs at the somewhat rumpled envelope, and finally manages to get it open.)
Julia Cat: And the URA goes to... ReBootilicious! Congratulations, Mike and WiGgY!
(Julia Cat walks off-stage to the left. As soon as she disappears, Mike pokes his head out from behind the curtain on the right side of the stage. He grins and rubs his hands together, gesturing to somebody behind him. He dashes across the stage, closely followed by Hack and Slash. Slash pauses in the middle of the stage.)
Slash: Nothing to see here, folks! Just forget any of this ever happened. It's easy. Hack and I do it all the time.
(Hack rolls back on stage and grabs Slash by the arm.)
Hack: Slaaaash, Mike said--
Slash: Oh, right. Coming up next, The Crazy Canuck and Matrix are presenting the award for Most Original Site! ... Was that an original thing to say? I am not a good judge of these things.
Hack: Slash!!
Slash: Sorry, Hack.
(Hack drags Slash off-stage.)
