"Where are we Enzo?"

"I don't know. All I do know is it's not Mainframe."

Enzo was nearly 1-4 now and was losing hope; AndrAIa could tell.

"We will find Mainframe. Don't worry."

"Thanks, Andi. Don't know what I'd do without you."

"That's what best friends are for!"

He hadn't noticed it before, but AndrAIa had changed quite a lot since they were 1-0. Whoa! She really is pretty, he thought to himself.

"Enzo? What is it? You're kind of um… staring at me."

"Oh um, sorry…How 'bout we check this place out. OK?" She nodded.

All of a sudden a guardian about their age came out of nowhere. "Are you from around here?"

He was about Enzo's height. His skin was light yellow and his eyes were bright neon green. When he said this he kinda nervously messed with his dark blue hair.

"No. We're from Mainframe."

"Mainframe? What's a pretty girl like you doing so far away from home?"

"We're trying to find a way there by game hopping."

"Right. Oh I forgot to introduce myself. The name's Flash. Flash Skylander."

"Pleased to meet you. I'm AndrAIa. These are my friends Enzo and Frisket."

"Call me Matrix." Enzo was giving Flash a look that could delete any lesser sprite from fear.

"Enzo! Don't do that!" AndrAIa said in a coarse whisper.

"Whatever! I'll be around!"

Enzo stormed off leaving a very crest-fallen and confused sprite behind. She turned to Flash with a sad far-off look in her eyes and said, "He's never done anything like that before. I don't know what's gotten into him."

"Jealousy?"

"What do you mean?"

"Never mind. Quit file and don't save."

"We'd better find him…"

Oh Enzo... What is it? He's been acting so different lately, she thought to herself as she hopped onto her zipboard.

Frisket tilted his head to the side and made a whining noise. It was hard for Frisket to understand non-animal sprites at times; this was one of those times.

"She's only a friend. She's only a friend. She's only a friend!" He kicked a trash can about 30 feet in anger. He had always just thought of AndrAIa as friend up until now. He really didn't like the fact that he may like her as more than a friend. It would totally change everything.

"Enzo? Oh Enzo! We've found you! We've been looking for you for almost a whole millisecond! Don't do that again! I was worried half to deletion!" AndrAIa gave him a huge hug at this point.

"Well, I…uh, sorry Andi." Enzo was majorly blushing. "Where are we anyways?" said Enzo.

"You're in System Lycos. I'm the guardian here."

"You?" Enzo thought he was way too young to become a guardian when he did and thought Flash was too young to be the only guardian in a huge system like Lycos.

"Yes. Why?"

"Don't you think you're a little too young to be the only guardian in a big system like this?"

"No. Hey! You're about my age and you're a guardian."

"Forget about it. I know what it's like to be the only guardian in a system. It's not easy."

"No, it isn't. Well, do you want me to give you a tour of the system?"

"Oh yes! That would be great! Wouldn't it Enzo?"

"Yeah…great."

"And here's the diner. Hey. Do you guys want an energy shake or something?"

"If it's not any trouble."

"No trouble at all, AndrAIa."

They hovered over to the door of the diner and right when Flash was about to open the door…*Crash!*

A sprite had slammed the door into his face. She had silver eyes, peachy skin and had dirty-blonde hair that was done up in a bun, but most of it was falling out of the bun.

"Where have you been! You should have been here 2 milliseconds, 3 micros and 6… no 8 nanos ago!!!" >[?"I'm sorry Win! I just kinda forgot!"

"FORGOT! HOW COULD YOU FORGET!"

"Calm down."

"Hey. Who are these guys?"

"Oh, Win, this is AndrAIa, Matrix, and their dog Frisket."

"Nice to meet you. I probably haven't given a good impression have I? Well come in, and make yourselves at home."

"She reminds me of Dot in a way," said Matrix.

"He kind of reminds me of Bob."

"Bob? Him? I don't think so."

"Game sprite out of the games? Game hopping?" Win had never heard of this before. "Explain…"

After AndrAIa and Matrix had explained this stuff to Win… "Woah! I could write an award-winning read me file on this! Well, maybe. So, Matrix, are you guys leaving with the next game?"

"Probably."

Win was openly flirting with Enzo. This really making AndrAIa mad, but she didn't know why...

There was a long silence before Enzo broke it by saying, "So, now that you know our life story why don't you tell us about your system. Do you have any viruses here?"

"Actually we have two viruses."

"Do they work together or against each other?"

"Depends what your definition of working together is. Scanreg and Calibra are mates but they fight constantly."

"Anything we can do to help?" piped up AndrAIa.

"If only you could. Unless you know how to defeat two viruses without any casualties I'm afraid you can't really help."

"Oh? You should see Enzo, here, with his gun. He can delete them in nanos."

"I'm sure he can!" said Win with her eyes fluttering madly.

Enzo, as usual, wanted to get back to business. "Well, to defeat them we need a plan. Got any ideas?"

"Win's the one who comes up with plans around here. She's the brains and I'm the brawn."

"You are sooo full of yourself Flash!"

"Am not!" "Are to!" "Are not!"

"Are too!"

"Guys! We need to get serious!" This is about the first time AndrAIa had ever yelled in her life so Enzo was a little stunned.

"Er, right. Well I think I may have a plan," said Win.

"Already?" exclaimed Enzo and AndrAIa simultaneously.

"Told you she was the planner."

"Ooh, those viruses give me the jaggies!"

"Me too, Andi," said Enzo as they watched the virals from a tall building.

The viruses were like normal sprites from the waist up, but from the waist down they had the legs and the tails of scorpions. Scanreg was a dark purplish-maroon color with red eyes, while Calibra was a dark green color with bright green eyes and long green hair.

"Now remember, they can't be mortally wounded by us. We need to get them to shoot each other. Remember your parts?"

"Yeah."

"OK. Let's do it."

"Attack!" They raced down the hill to where the two viruses were standing.

"Well, if it isn't the young guardian Flash and his little friend Win," hissed Scanreg. "And they have company! A little girl sprite and another guardian!" said Calibra in mock fear. "This shouldn't be too much of a challenge."

The two stood there until Flash, Win, Enzo, and AndrAIa were practically on top of them, then… they struck! Energy shards were coming from their tails with lightning speed.

"Look out guys!" screamed Flash as he dodged some shards.

Another Author's Note: I'm horrible at writing out long fight scenes so I'll just kinda skip to the end of this fight. In the fight our heros' bitmaps are getting kicked, but the viruses underestimated them and are getting their bitmaps equally kicked. Sorry about this.

The fight lasted for what seemed like milliseconds. Our heroes were having a hard time trying to get the viruses to hit each other. Win was reloading her bow and firing from the corner of the street while Flash fought Scanreg practically hand to hand. AndrAIa was trying to lead Calibra into the line of fire with the help of Enzo.

All of a sudden Calibra tripped AndrAIa with her tail and sent her flying through the air, then hit her with her tail again, sending her to the ground. "Say goodbye, sprite!" She raised her tail in the air, aimed a shard at AndrAIa's head, and shot.

"NOOOOOOO!" screamed Enzo. He jumped towards AndrAIa, pushing her out of the way of the shard, letting it hit him instead.

The hit threw Enzo to the ground in agonizing pain, as the shard lodged its way onto his left thigh. "Enzo!" cried AndrAIa. As AndrAIa was trying to help Enzo, Win received a crippling blow from Scanreg and Flash was hit into a wall. Both the viruses were going for Enzo and AndrAIa. As they raised their tails to shoot the sprites, Flash jumped on his hover board and grabbed Enzo and AndrAIa right before the viruses struck.

Each of the viruses' shards hit the other, immediately deleting them both. "YES! We did it!"

"Enzo? Enzo! Wake up Enzo! Flash! Win! Get the medics, quick! Enzo's starting to fade into deletion!"

He was in a white room and had an IV in his arm. His leg and head hurt immensely. When he looked down he saw AndrAIa sitting in a chair with her head on his bed. "AndrAIa."

"Hmm? Wha…ENZO! You're alive! Oh, thank the user, you're alright!" she said as she gave him a huge hug.

"AndrAIa?"

"Yeah?" "You're kinda hugging me a little too hard."

"Oh, I'm sorry Enzo. You have no idea how worried I was about you! We thought you would be deleted for sure!"

"Well, I'm still here, aren't I?"

"Yes! And that's all that matters now."

WARNING, INCOMING GAME! WARNING, INCOMING GAME!

"Well, I guess this is our cue to go," said Enzo.

"Guess so." said Flash.

"Maybe we'll visit you in Mainframe someday?" said Win. "Maybe."

"Bye Friskit, AndrAIa. Bye Enzo."

"You may have saved my bitmap back there, and you may be my friend, but, only Andi can call me Enzo. Call me Matrix."

"Enzo! Oh, you big lug!" said AndrAIa as she gave him a big kiss.

"Why don't I ever get kissed like that?!" moaned Win. "Bye you guys! Hope we see you again!"

"Bye!" said Enzo and AndrAIa as the game landed on them.

This was my first fanfic ever! Hope ya' liked it because I enjoyed writing it. This is the beginning of a series my friends and I have made up. Since I'm such a slow typist, and since I don't have much time on my hands, it will be a while before I send in the LONG series.
