Picture an insect the height of a one binome standing on six long sharp pointed legs. It has the head of and army ant, equipped with a pair of steel sharp pincers for cutting and tearing. It has the front claws of a mantis for grasping its prey. Its abdomen is a bee's, save for the yellow stripes, that can flex up and down and side to side to use its stinger at any angle. Within it is a sack of poison so deadly it can kill within a second. Worse, the stinger can remain lodged in its prey and remain to pump its sack of venom into the victim. The Bug will not die afterward. It will live on to hunt more prey and find others to erase using its jaws and claws. This is the Soldier Program Bug. And you thought Viruses, Code Masters and Web Creatures were deadly? Just wait until these drop by your system...

No one is sure when Bugs first were formatted. It is said they are as old at the Net itself. Some believe they were born out of the same vileness as Web creatures and like the dark invaders they have many similarities.

The brain of the hive is the Queen. Resistant to the radiation in the core of systems, its key purpose is to breed and crash the system in invades. It will seek out the Command.com and place it in a sack of preservation liquid. The liquid deletes the com but preserves the body so it can tap the codes to other systems. Then using the codes and tears created by systematic crashes, it sends its children onto a new city to destroy. The Queen will eventually follow her invaders, or breed eggs of Drone Soldiers to mate with a new Queen for the infested system. Then the cycle of destruction starts all over again. Then Queen has wings, massive pincers, and a stinger it rarely needs to use to defend itself. The Queen is as big as an elephant.

Its primary invaders are Winged Soldiers. Like hornets, the creatures are equipped with powerful stingers containing deadly poison meant to kill. The stingers can detach in its victims but unlike bees they don't die. Armed with pincer jaws that can eat though metal. The Winged Soldiers are death on wings. A second class of Soldiers exists for ground invasion. They can burrow in the ground to attack by surprise like Wing Soldiers attack from the air. Soldiers stand about the height of a one binome.

Scouts are half the size of a Soldier. They have long feelers for smelling out new targets for the invaders. They have sharp pincer jaws but no stingers. None of them can fly. Neither can Workers, who only purpose to to find food for the Queen and her brood.

The Bug invasion must be stopped before the Queen gets in the core. After that, wiping them from the system can become close to impossible without killing the Queen.
