Hack and Slash are the show's mandatory idiotic henchmen -- or, in this case, henchbots. They are also, at times, walking dictionary/thesauri. They were constructed by Megabyte, who focused so much on the physical side of things -- weaponry and armour -- that there wasn't any room left for brainpower. They have, according to the official press kit, "a combined IQ approaching that of a toaster oven." They are, however, exceedingly loyal, and while they usually obey orders blindly, they're really a lot nicer than Megabyte probably intended.

Hack is red and Slash is blue, and though they constantly remind Megabyte of who is who, their boss always forgets, probably because he doesn't feel it's very important. Either way, these two robots' personalities are pretty identical, as they are constantly bickering over different ways of saying a particular word, or over who gets to push the button.

Hack and Slash are very unlucky in carrying out orders because they are both extremely incompetant and always screw something up along the way. Megabyte's wrath in these cases usually ends up reducing the two bots to scrap metal, but they are quickly reassembled after the fact.

Hack and Slash are present solely for comic relief, but they can quickly grow on any fan who follows their jokes, arguments, and embarrassing moments.
