Since the original topic mysteriously had 85 of it's 87 pages 'vanish' into digital air... I'm making this new topic to continue discussion on it (with the hope that the previous one can be restored).



Currently the ReBoot Revival now has 661 members signed up on rebootrevival.com I've decided that we'll try to shoot for 1,000 before we do a mass mailing. I have a couple of projects I'm working on in 'secret', mainly so that if they don't work so well, I won't have risen people's hopes up.

Yeah, it freaked me out. I came on this site like i do pretty much almost every day and i was like, "What the dell! What happened to all of the pages on the revival?"

Oh well. it shouldn't be too long before we get to 1000 people, considering how fast the numbers grow each day.

btw, how are those projects coming along? You almost done?

Yeah, well the first of the two projects (the smaller of the two) is underway.


Since this is something that already has one piece up* (and will have more content added once I finish it), I'll present it now.

The GlitchBob452 YouTube channel. This is my own personal YouTube channel.

I've also taken over ownership for the ReBoot Revival group on YouTube, so that group should see more content (even if it is just my stuff) on there eventually.


Once you view the 'ReBoot Season 3 Restart - Revival Promo' video that's currently on my channel (or on the Revival group, it's on both now), you'll see why I think the way it was done will hopefully get some youtuber's interested.


I'd hope that the videos get a high enough rating and popular enough that they appear on the main page, and therefore get more attention.


The only two things I dislike about YouTube is the sound quality takes a dive on my video, and that I can't choose an image for my profile picture, but I have to use one of my videos (which youtube picks a place during the vid to make a thumbnail, which in turn would be my profile picture)... but ah well it just is.

*Currently uploading the video again, due to the very last bit of it not showing... grumble...

what i've seen some people do is upload a short short 1 or 2 second clip of what hey want their avater to be

The corrected video (just needed to add 13 seconds of silence to balance out the video to audio ratio... that very last bit with the .com would have had Bob saying 'ReBoot!'... but no matter how loud I made that one part, it was barely audible when it was on youtube) is now up.

This means that if you rated the previous one, you'd need to rate this one now, as I deleted the one that wasn't working 100%.

Agreed. It's very good. The music matches the atmosphere of the video.

Very glad to hear you guys like it. I've got a good amount more left to finish creating (these videos are really pieces of that large music video I had previously been working on, but hadn't been able to finish due to the time it took to edit the vocal parts, music, etc, etc).

I'm trying to get it so that the music along with the scenes of the videos brings forth an emotional remembrance of the show.

Just some of the events I can think of that I'm doing off the top of my head (in chronological order no less):

1. Bob is betrayed by Megabyte, Dot and the rest all feel devastated.
   
2. Enzo's struggle to fight a powerful foe, and try to fill the large boots Bob left.
   
3. The long journey of Matrix and AndrAIa to find their way home and find Bob.
   
4. The return of Bob and the sacrifice off Glitch to get them home.
   
5. Our heroes return to their home, only to find it ravished by war.
   
6. Matrix's long sought battle against Megabyte.
   
7. Glitch-Bob's race against time to stop the city from destroying it's self.
   
8. The city sinks into the energy sea bellow, our heroes await their fate. A glorious light from above brings about a marvelous rebirth of their home.
   
9. A powerful new adversary threatens to infect the entire Net.
   
10. Hexadecimal's sacrifice for those who once shunned and feared her.
    
11. Confusion as a second Bob appears, is that familiar face who he says he is?
    
12. A return of an old enemy, confusion and chaos insures.
    

I feel these events with my choice of music will interest those who have already seen these parts many times, and maybe some who haven't. Nothing against Bob Buckley, I enjoy his work very much (wish there was a ReBoot music CD), but sometimes when you view something with either better video quality or different audio it can give it 'new life'.


Oh, I'll also be making a section on the Revival site for these videos, since the format I convert it to,reduces filesize and the audio and video quality isn't nearly as affected as it is on YouTube.

That sounds like a good idea GB.

I personally enjoyed the Revival Vid withthe Season 3 Ending. The music was a suitable choice. I'll say 6/5 stars to minic Leiko's comment.

This was the first video I started work on last year when I first had the idea of combining the music I enjoyed listening to alone with ReBoot. Glad I've finally finished work on it!


I hope to have another one up by the end of the coming week, or the end of next week. I was able to get this one quicker because it was halfway done when I paused working on it. The rest are either barely done, or need major re-tweaking to be ready for the public.


Also I've created the ReBoot Revival Promotional Videos page on the Revival site, for those of you who want to hear them with much better audio. Please remember to view them on YouTube too, as the more views the better.

Indeed, I will be using it when appropriate (videos that feature MB with the upper hand or somesuch). Or since I like both so much, I might just interchange them with each video.


I just looked over the list of events I'm doing (third time to make sure I listed what I feel I'll have music for), and I think there's a 5.5 event, where the Rebels storm the PO, but that might just be the beginning part of the Matrix fighting Megabyte vid (might have to split them for YouTube though, only 10min per video, 100mb each). Eh, we'll see when I get up to that one, though I'm not exactly doing them in order the events occur, but that's how they'll be ordered on the Revival site.

Nice videos Glitchbob; I especially like 'Bob is Betrayed'.  Very evokative.

Perhaps a number 11 could be done with an upbeat tone, such as Pachelbel's Canon to show GBob's revival from being in comatose (and the scenes with giant glitch) in 'Null Bot of the Bride' etc.

Just a suggestion, but you seem to have ALOT on your giant plate right now so feel free to discard it!
