Thank you for coming by and reading this topic. If you wish to help out, then pleasejoin this forum and let us know. We need all the fans we can get, the more fans the more a chance we have of convincing the TV Networks to fund MFE so they can make more ReBoot.
If you really liked/loved ReBoot, then you'll help out. This can't be done without your support.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- On May 29th, 2006 a long time fan got very tired of the lack of ReBoot over the 5-6 years since the cliffhanger of season 4. He thought up the idea to contact the voice actors for help, which then expanded into contacting the staff. From then on the idea grew and grew. By June 23rd, a myspace page was created to gather the fans from that online community. After six weeks up being up, it currently has 256 fans signed up to help support the cause.
Fans were completely in the dark about MFE's interest in continuing the series until an anonymous MFE employee stated that (un-officially) MFE was interested in making more, yet needs the funding from a network to do so.
Further plans are in the works to attract even more old time fans, and possibly catch the attention of a curious web surfer.
The overall goal of this "Revival of ReBoot" is to find a television network that will fund Mainframe Entertainment in creating that long sought after ending to season 4, and possibly new episodes after that.
For this to have even the slightest chance of succeeding, we need all the fans to join up.
Ok folks, I've thought up another idea on how to possibly get an ending to ReBoot, and maybe more episodes.
This time, let's get help.
From who you ask?
From the VA's!
How?
This is where we have to work really hard.
Finding the contact info for the maincast is difficult.
I've already found information on how to contact Tony Jay(granted it's not really 'direct'), Gary Chalk(again, not very 'direct') and Michael Benyaer but the rest will most likely be harder to find.
Here's "the list":
Sharon Alexander (AndrAIa)
Kathleen Barr (Dot Matrix)
Michael Benyaer (Bob)*this one seems the most direct*
Gary Chalk (Slash/Turbo)*
Paul Dobson (Matrix)
Michael Donovan (Phong/Mike The TV/Cecil)
Scott McNeil (Hack #2 /Specky)
Tony Jay (Megabyte)*
Shirley Millner (Hexadecimal)
Louise Vallance (Mouse)
Donal Gibson (Ray Tracer)
Dale Wilson (Welman Matrix)
*left in, incase anyone can find a more 'direct' way of contacting them.
I left out the most recent Enzo, because I would assume that after about 2-3years, his voice isn't 'young' enough.
Anyway, the plan is to contact as many as we can, asking for their support on getting MFE to realize that the ReBoot fanbase is still out there, waiting, hoping against hope that they will continue with the series.
Once we've found all the contact info we can, I'll post up a list that's as complete as it can be, and we can then go about figuring out a what a good email would be to send to all of them.
I'm also going to try the 14-day free trial for IMdbpro.com, which grants access to contact information. ........ Nevermind, despite being free, they want billing information, so that they can start billing you after the 14 days... I'd rather not give them that information. It's really too bad they are like this, they have contact info for five cast members.
Wow, that's a pretty damn good idea... (kinda like calling your grandmother and asking her to make her famous chocolate cake for the country fair or something)
But do you think they'd care? I mean, odds are they took the jobs for money, think they'd actually want to invest in something that's been dead for 5 years? (trying not to sound too negative, just being real)
Excellent research on the idea though (I would expect no less from you now GB )
"I mean, so what if you're a copy, some of my best friends are copies" <<< Ain't it the truth.
Don't mind me... I'm going through a bit of a Hue-altering phase. ^_^
I think they would. The reason being, when people work on something together for a many years, they can become like family. At least that's what I've heard about various TV shows. I'd assume that there's a possibilty the same happened here, with the VA's, and probably the original crew.
Also, on Michael Benyaer's website, the only other image on the mainpage besides on of himself is a small one of Bob. I can't say I know why that's there, but I'd hope that he cares about ReBoot, and that's why that image is there.
I would gladly enter the information imbdpro wants, if I knew that the information they had was accurate and up to date. Maybe if I get enough spare money, I'll do it, but I'd rather not be billed for it, by accidentally going over a day(not that I think I need more then 14 days to copy the info there...).

I wonder if that would be true for the actors. They generally don't work together doing voice work, they do their lines seperately and it's all put together later. Still,I'm sure they all take pride in having worked on a project that's recieved as many accolades as ReBoot and would all come back if given the opportunity. After all,a paycheck's a paycheck.
Man GB that is a great idea. I was just thinking of something similar, only instead of contacting the cast, contact the the writers since it was really their show, not Mainframe's. If we combined these ideas we just might... dare I say... GET ANOTHER SET OF EPISODES! If not that then at least a book or something to that effect.
Edit: If anyone's intersted in the addition of my idea.
Story Editors/Main People: Ian Pearson Gavin Blair Phil Mitchell
I'll try to compile the complete list of "Written bys" but that'll take a while.
Sounds like an interesting idea but do you think it will work? Can MFE even continue making Reboot? because doesn't Ian Person and Phil Mitchell own the rights to reboot and they left so Mainframe couldn't do anymore reboot ep anyways unless they got the rights to reboot or something. Am I right? Sorry I'm such a wet blanket.
Perhaps with enough interest in the series, they could see it as a good investment to buy back the rights to the series. I think if the actors could convince them of that, then we might have a chance of getting it back. No matter how much big companies are fond of a certain project, at the end of the day it has to be good enough to earn them money, or it wouldn't be practical to work with it. I think we need both the actors and fans to show them that it would be worth buying back the rights and making more episodes, and that the show would still be marketable and get them ratings. I do think that people would definitely want to watch it if it came back, but we need MFE to see that too.
As you slide down the banister of life, may all your splinters be facing in the right direction.
All right, I've typed up an email to Michael Benyaer (Bob). I think since he's the only one I've found with the most direct line of contact, might as well start with him. I also think it's a good letter in general, and could be 'tweaked' if I ever found the rest of the contact info.

Dear Mr.Benyaer,
Hi, my name is David and I've been an avid ReBoot fan since it first aired on ABC in 1994. I'd have to say that one of my most cherished childhood memories is watching ReBoot on Saturday mornings with my mother.
I really love Bob. Now that I'm older I can say that we are very much alike. I know it sounds corny, but I really do go by the Guardian code, I "mend and defend". What I mean by that is, I 'mend' in two ways. I like to repair things, and I also try and help people. I 'defend', by sticking up for those who can't.
Not to mention I'm not really good at coming up with plans, and normally 'go with the flow'.
Along with Bob's character I enjoyed your voice work for him. You really gave Bob the right voice, that was caring, adventurous, and a fun guy.
In March 2005, I joined a rather active ReBoot fan forum (aren't too many still active these days sadly) called "The Java Hut". I have never found another fandom that has as many warm and caring members as ReBoot does. I have yet to see a mean, spiteful ReBoot fan.
I have to say while I enjoyed season 3 more then season 4(main reason for that is there were a few potholes and it moved a bit too fast), the cliffhanger disappointed me immensely. I've never given up hope that Mainframe Entertainment will eventually finish ReBoot, and possibly continue with another season.
While there hasn't been any ReBoot news in the past 5 years, I'm happy to see that Mainframe Entertainment still puts out ReBoot wallpapers, even if they've begun to recycle the main images, and just changed backgrounds.
Lately I've been working on ideas on how to get MFE (Mainframe Entertainment) to realize the penitential of continuing ReBoot. One of these ideas is to have the backing of the voice actors as well as the original writing staff. However contacting these people is hard to do. You seem to be the only one I've found a direct way to contact. Perhaps if you know of any other contact information you could relay it?
I've posted up this idea on the Java Hut, and I will add the link to the bottom of this email.
If it is possible, and if you are interested would you mind helping us ReBoot fans out?
MFE could make a large amount of money by re-releasing Seasons3 and 4(this time making sure the DVD's have no audio problems). I say this because on amazon.com people have been selling their copies for over $100. While this is an extremely high price to pay, fans have paid that much for the show they love, and would no doubt buy DVD's of Seasons 1 and 2 if MFE ever released them.
Toys are also sold at higher prices on eBay.com these days, and yet the fans still pay the price to own a figure from the show they love.
I thank you for your time and of course "stay frosty",
Well I've sent the letter with one minor addition, which is:

In my search for contact information, I found your web page. I noticed that aside from the image of yourself, you have a small image of Bob in the bottom left-hand corner. While I won't make any assumptions as to why you have it there, I hope it's a sign you loved working on the show as much as the fans loved watching it.
